Scoring and leaderboards

Your score is not just how long you lasted. Quad Chase pays for nerve: close calls, clean streaks and quick tags are worth far more than hiding in a corner.

Chaser points

As the chaser, a tag pays 25 + 3 × the round number + 3 for every second left on the clock. Tag the runner with 15 seconds to spare in round 10 and it is worth 100; tag it at the last second and it is worth 55. Speed is the whole game on the chaser side.

The two multipliers

Combo ×2

Win three rounds in a row without losing a life and your combo kicks in: from that third round on, every point is doubled until you lose a life. That includes round points, near misses and orbs. On the chaser side, letting one of two runners escape switches the ×2 off, and the next clean round switches it back on.

Score ×2

The SCORE ×2 orb doubles every point for the rest of the round. It stacks with the combo, so a near miss with both active pays 20, and a perfect dodge 60.

What this means in practice: a long streak of clean rounds is worth far more than a few risky ones, because the combo doubles everything. Play the first rounds of a streak safely to get the combo going, then take the near misses once it is running.

The Arena

A descent scores floors the same way, 25 + 3 × the floor number for each floor cleared, but the Arena is ranked by something else: the deepest floor you reached. Everyone goes down on one life under the same rules, so depth is the one number that compares fairly between players. Boss floors pay a coin purse instead of points.

The leaderboards

There are three worldwide boards, each showing the top 50. Open them with TOP SCORES on the main menu, and swipe between them:

When a run beats your best, you can post it under a name of your choice. The board keeps your best score per name, so posting a worse score never lowers you. A name has to be three to twelve characters and a real choice: one letter held down or a run along the keyboard is turned away.

Names are public, so don't use your real name if you'd rather not. Every name except your own has a "…" button to report or block it. A blocked name disappears from your boards; a name reported by several players disappears for everyone.

Two-player matches, party games and Arena PVP duels don't post to any board. A duel record stays with your disc.
